ScaffoldAid

This product focuses on addressing the growing need for effective skeletal reparative treatments, driven by an aging population and increased bone/joint issues. We aim to revolutionize bone tissue engineering (BTE) by developing a novel 3D model to overcome the limitations of traditional clinical treatments. By utilizing polyethylene glycol-based gels and exploring the role of ascorbic acid in promoting osteoblast differentiation, our approach seeks to enhance understanding of cell-ECM interactions and expedite the process of bone cell differentiation and mineralization, ultimately making BTE a more viable therapeutic option.

MeshCare

One of the main goals of MeshCare is to try to make meshes that prevent adhesions on the wrong side of the body. The mesh could only go on one side because if it goes onto the side with intestines, the patient is in extreme danger risk. Additionally, the team is working to make a membrane mesh hybrid and biodegradable because that will lower the chances of complications during MeshCare's usage.

FlaviVax

FlaviVax is a novel vaccine designed for enhanced thermostability, aiming to eliminate the need for cold-chain transport. It is specifically targeted at West Nile Virus (WNV), for which there is currently no vaccine. The vaccine formulation consists of trehalose and pullulan and is based on SK-NF-1 cell DNA to mimic the neuroinvasive aspects of WNV, such as encephalitis.

This project investigates the potential of grape seed extract in treating diabetic retinopathy, a diabetes-related vision impairment condition. Using ARPE-19 cells and a two-month cell culture, the study explores various concentrations of grape seed extract to assess its effect on cell viability and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) levels.
